"Vietnam: A Cobat Infantryman's Story", presentation and discussion by Monty R. Murty; July 25 at 6pm in the Community Room.

Join us to hear Mr. Murty's experience as a young soldier during the Vietnam War.

"I was a 1st Lietenant of Infantry when I deployed in the fall of 1967. I was in the Tet offensive and then a month in an evac hospital after wounds, and returned to combat as an Infantry Captain till the end of 1968. Those were the years when most US casualties were incurred, killed and wounded. (...) I thought folks would like to hear how an IUP student and ROTC cadet found himself a 21-year old 2nd Lieutenant of Infantry in the 101st Airborne Division three days after graduation!" -Monty R.
