This property was originally deeded from Daniel Steck to Jacob Murdock. Dr. M. W. Miller purchased it in 1895 and established his residence here and his office next to it on West Loyalhanna Street. In 1908, Lewis Cort, owner of Ligonier Brewery, purchased this as his home. Dr. D. E. Beltz purchased it from Cort in 1910, and it again became a doctor’s home and office.
