#18 Conrad George Home (111 S Market)

Conrad George Home

111 South Market Street

Conrad George was a cabinet maker, whose father was one of the original settlers in the Ligonier Valley. This property is deeded from the 1830s, from John Ramsey and from a sheriff’s sale. “Cooney” George was known for his bad temper, and once punched a man in the face at the Post Office for saying disrespectful words about Abraham Lincoln after his assassination.
