#54 Caldarelli’s Shoe Hospital (137 W Main)

Caldarelli Shoe Hospital

137 West Main Street

When Vincenzo Caldarelli and son James bought the W. J. Potts residence next door in 1934, with the intention of turning it into a hotel, he also erected this building for his shoe repair business. It was originally a one-story building and was called the “Shoe Hospital.” The second story was not added until 1989 by the Davies family.
