Catherine Kahn Home

138 West Main Street

This building was owned by Catherine Kahn until 1893. It is Lot 12 on John Ramsey’s original Ligonier plot map. It included a duplex in the rear of the lot, which is no longer there. In 1918, Virgil Gaskin, also a liveryman, moved his undertaking business from the National Hotel to this building. He purchased the property in 1921. It remained a funeral home for the next 40 years.
