Earliest records show this property deeded from John Hargnett to Dr. Lemon Beam in 1869. Bales McColly, a harness maker, moved from Youngstown to Ligonier in 1870 and purchased this home from Dr. Beam. Later, his son, E. B. McColly, started his marble and granite business here eventually moving it to Latrobe. McColly Memorials still exists today in Greensburg.
