Bring your helmets and join us as Mark Sliwa transports us on a trip around the world… through photographs and on a motorcycle!
While not literally on a motorcycle, Mark will present a photo essay on his motorcycle camping trips around the United States, Nova Scotia, the UK, and Europe.
Mark was employed at Moto Cycle, a shop south of Ligonier that was the Bimota importer for the U.S. as well as a Ducati retailer back in the 1990s (Jay Leno was a customer in the shop’s rolodex). We will visit the world’s largest motorcycle Museum, The Barber, in Birmingham, Alabama, a $60 million museum/race track facility that is truly a wonder. Additional features include a works Paris-Dakar Cagiva desert racer, motocross racing in the Republic of Moldova, and some local rides here in Pennsylvania. Capping things off will be a review of the International Vincent Rally that is held every 4 years somewhere in the world. Ligonier was one the Rally’s stops in September, 2011.
