Socrates Café

What is a Socrates Café? A discussion club which brings together a group of diverse individuals on a regular bases to consider some of the profound issues of the universe. The emphasis is placed on questioning, open-mindedness and challenging our own assumptions while listening to and respecting the views shared by others.

The Socrates Café will meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Ligonier Valley Library. Dighton Fiddner, Ph.D. (“Mac”) and Trudy Brisendine are the facilitators.

The next café will be on February 13 in the community room!

Discussion topic is “Morality: What Is It and Who Defines It?”

Cookbook Club

Cookbook Club returns this month! The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 25 at 6pm in the library’s community room. A different cookbook will be selected by the group for each meeting.

September’s cookbook choice is available in the library at the main circulation desk. Pre-registration prior to the meeting is required.
