Renovations on both the inside and outside of the Ligonier Valley Library are progressing with the completion goal to be this Spring.
Meanwhile the adult and young adult portions of the collection are integrated into the Children’s Department with our full selection of juvenile items, adult audiobooks and adult DVDs and a modified selection of adult and YA books. New items can be found on the shelves near the elevator.
The Pennsylvania Room is also still available, but has been relocated to the community room and can be accessed by either the stairs or the elevator. Call the library at 724-238-6451 or visit the Pennsylvania Room web page for hours (which are subject to change).
While modified, several services that patrons depend on are available in the children’s department – three public internet computers (usage is limited to 30 minutes when in demand); free wifi for patrons and guests (guests need to register for a temporary login); the copier/scanner/fax machine. We also have magazines and newspapers. Services that are currently not available are the overnight drop-off bin and ReReadables Book Store.
Last but never least… if you need help (from using library equipment to setting up your device to borrow eBooks to finding a new favorite author), library staff are ready and waiting to assist you!
*Due to renovations, not all of our items are available. Please ask for help. If we can’t find the item, then we will try to order it from another library.*
