Download the App…
Both OverDrive and the new Libby app are available for your phone and tablet. Visit your app store - Apple, Google Play or Microsoft - to download and a few taps later you will be enjoying free library ebooks and audiobooks. Some setup is required. You will also need a current library card from your local library. Library staff is on hand to assist you, call the Ligonier Valley Library at 724-238-6451 to make an appointment or stop in. Please make sure your device's battery is fully charged.
Setting up Libby: Install and open the app. Find your library (Westmoreland eBook Network) - if the location is turned on on your device, then Libby will look for the nearest library to your location participating in OverDrive. Tap on the library and away you go. Enter the 14-digit barcode (without spaces) on the back of your library card and you are ready to start searching, sampling and borrowing!
Below are some guides to help you set up and get started borrowing eBooks using the OverDrive app:
**NOOK Color users can no longer open library eBooks that have been transferred. This device was discontinued by Barnes & Noble in 2012 and there are currently no solutions for the issue. (This does not apply to the NOOK Samsung Galaxy tablets - these devices can use both the Libby app and OverDrive app.)
**Tablets and Smartphone guides apply to both Apple and Android devices.
