DESCRIPTION:Homeschoolers are invited to explore a new topic each month through hands-on activities\, experiments\, and creative projects at the library! Each session offers an opportunity to learn\, discover\, and have fun while exploring a variety of subjects. \nActivities are designed with homeschoolers in mind and provide an engaging way to learn\, experiment\, and connect with other families. Join us each month to explore something new! \nThis month’s session focuses on atmospheric science and the world of weather. The library is pleased to welcome special guest Austin Long\, a meteorologist from WJAC-TV\, who will help guide students through the science behind everyday weather phenomena. Participants will engage in several interactive experiments—including building a pinecone barometer\, creating a tornado in a jar\, and simulating rain and frost. To conclude the session\, students will craft their own wind chimes to take home.
