DESCRIPTION:Explore\, experiment\, and discover together at Family STEM Adventures! Families are invited to visit the library each month for a new collection of hands-on STEM activities designed to encourage curiosity\, creativity\, and problem-solving. \nHow long of a paper chain can you make from a single piece of paper? What is an Agamograph\, and how do you make one? How do you make a homemade Kaleidoscope? The answers to these and many other questions can be found with your child during the Family STEM Adventures at the Ligonier Valley Library. Families can explore these topics and many more- such as how to make a musical instrument out of wax paper and a comb\, and how to make and use invisible ink! \nFamilies can drop in\, try activities at their own pace\, and return each month to explore something new. Little ones can also enjoy the Children’s Wing. \nFor children ages 3 and up. | Adult participation encouraged. | Drop-in program. | Come when you can!

Each session offers an opportunity to learn\, discover\, and have fun while exploring a variety of subjects. \nActivities are designed with homeschoolers in mind and provide an engaging way to learn\, experiment\, and connect with other families. Join us each month to explore something new! \nThis month\, come and explore the world of weather with us at the Ligonier Library. We will make a pinecone barometer\, a tornado in a jar\, and make your own rain and frost as we learn about what causes the weather around us to occur. Finish the class by making your own wind chimes to take home!
