Open for Business

The renovations are finally completed and the Ligonier Valley Library is now open for business, including the Pennsylvania Room. Come in and see all of the wonderful changes! Library hours are: Mon-Thur 10am-7pm and Fri-Sat 10am-5pm. Pennsylvania Room hours are subject to change, call the library or email Shirley at lvlparoom@ligonierlibrary.org.

There is a new book drop (for all library materials) located to the far right of the sliding glass doors at the main entrance.

Join us on Sunday, July 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for the 50th Anniversary Celebration and grand opening! This event is free and open to the public. It is also for the entire family – magician Steve Haberman will perform at 2:45 pm.

How Do I Return My Library Items?

“If there is no outside overnight book drop available, then how do I return my library items?”

Good question! Please drop off your items inside the library. If our hours are not convenient, then feel free to drop off your items at another Westmoreland County public library – a complete list of libraries can be found here: http://www.wlnonline.org/WLN/MemberLibraries/

“What entrance do I use to return library items?”

Use the Children’s wing entrance which is located opposite The Ligonier Echo office and accessible from the walkway between the Diamond area and the main municipal parking lot. Situated inside the Children’s department circulation desk is a book cart ready and waiting for your returned items!

Ligonier Valley Library hours are Monday-Thursday 10:00am-7:00pm and Friday-Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm. While our services are limited, we do have many of your favorites still available – such as the copier/fax/scanner, public internet computers, and free wifi. We are also still working to bring you the newest in adult fiction and non-fiction. And we haven’t forgotten our teens or children! New teen reads and kids books are on their way. If you are not able to find something, let us help you order it from another library.

Keep up-to-date on everything happening at the library, by checking our website and also liking our Facebook page! Even Steggy the library dinosaur is in on the action with his own Facebook page – The Steggy Report (@lvlthesteggyreport) – trying to keep everyone “in the know.”

If you have any questions, please call the library at 724-238-6451 or stop by. Library hours and contact information can be found at the bottom of the page and also on our About Us page.
