While we are still closed to the public, we are beginning some of our services again.
We are happy to announce that Ligonier Valley Library’s book drop is now open! Patrons may finally begin returning their library materials to us (this includes items from other Westmoreland Library Network libraries). The book drop is located near the main (sliding glass door) entrance.
Important, Please Read before Returning items:
DO NOT leave library materials unattended outside the library. Patrons are responsible for damaged or stolen items left outside. If the book drop is full, please hold on to your items and try again another day or time.
Ligonier Valley Library patrons are currently able to place holds on our materials! You will be notified by phone when your items are ready for pickup. At the time of notification, you can opt for either curbside or lobby pickup. You will also be given information on days and times that you can pickup your items.
Important, Please Read before using Lobby Pickup:
Do not set returned items on the lobby pickup table or in the lobby. In order to safely serve the public, returned items must be placed in the outside book drop (located near the main, sliding-glass door entrance). If you requested lobby pickup, your items will be placed in a brand new, plastic bag and set on the table. The bag will have your name written on it or attached to it. Please try to only handle your bag. If you have any questions or concerns, you can call us at 724-238-6451 during the hours you were given for pickup or when you arrive at the library.
As we ease into a new normal, the staff is trying to quickly and safely put plans into place. As information, such as library hours, become available, we will put them on our website and on Facebook. If know you have questions, you may call the library at 724-238-6451, but at this time, we do not have set hours of operation. Facebook users are welcome to send us a private message on the library’s Facebook page.
Meanwhile, continue to enjoy our growing digital services and resources. If you need a library card, visit our website to learn how you can register for an online library card.
