50th Anniversary Celebration

Save the date and Join us on Sunday, July 15 to celebrate the Ligonier Valley Library’s 50th Anniversary!

A plan was announced in 1966 to build a new library and fifty year’s ago on July 12, the new library officially opened on the northwest corner of the Ligonier Diamond. This year the original building is being renovated. Join us in July to celebrate 50 years of everything that makes your local library special!

This event is still in the planning stage, updates will be posted here and on our Facebook page!

Some great programs are being lined up for the kids on our 50th Anniversary weekend. So far we have Steve Haberman and his Magical Musical Magic Show complete with a Singing Chicken scheduled for 2:45 pm on Sunday, July 15. We also have Stage Right visiting us at 11 am on Saturday, July 14 performing Amelia’s Dance Party as part of their Books Come Alive series.

New Library Hours

The Ligonier Valley Library will have new hours beginning October 1, 2017.

Monday – Thursday: 10am – 7pm
Friday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm

As things change, we will keep our patrons updated on both our website and on Facebook. Check back often. If you have any questions, then please call the library at 724-238-6451 or stop by the children’s circulation desk.

We do have a selection of books, movies and audiobooks from the adult collection and also some young adult books in the children’s wing. Plus we still have the full collection of children’s books, movies and audiobooks available and new items for everyone arriving daily!

Unfortunately, we do not have an overnight drop! Please continue to return your items inside the library or to another Westmoreland Library Network member library. Thank you!
