The Ligonier Valley Library wishes to thank all of the pre-schoolers
and their families for participating in our Read-To-Me 2011 Summer Program!

The children’s department of the Ligonier Valley Library wrapped up its 2011 version of Summer Reading Club with the annual end of the summer parties. Two hundred forty-six members of the program read a total of 148,400 minutes with Abby Andrews and Sami Deemer capturing the top prizes for turning in the most minutes in the elementary and teen programs. Grade level winners included Simeon Chappell, Sierra Finfrock, Lindsay McClelland, Cheyenne Finfrock, Faith McDowell, and Jenna Denner, Placing second on the teen level was Kathy Huwalt with Susannah Stoll taking third. Special recognition went to Abby Andrews for completing all seven years of elementary level eligibility.
Registration for the fall session of Preschool Storyhour will begin in September!
PreSchool Storyhour is for children ages three to five. The fall PSSH runs from October 4 & 5 to December 6 & 7.
Classes are Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 10:30am-11:30am, or
Wednesday afternoons, 1:30pm-2:30pm.
Each class is designed to promote the wonderful world of books through the use of stories, songs, fingerplays, and games that center on a special theme. Stretching exercises are done halfway through each class, and a simple craft project is completed each week to be taken home.
