Re-Readables, Ligonier Valley Library's bookstore, is open during normal library hours!

The bookstore offers a Guilt-Free Guarantee ... you can buy gently-used books, DVDs, videos, and CDs and feel good about helping the library!  Then donate the materials back to the library for someone else to enjoy.

 Proceeds from the bookstore benefit the library's operating fund.

The store is located on the main floor of the library (the former location of the Pennsylvania Room) and offers a variety of donated items at affordable prices.

Run by volunteers, Re-Readables offers a relaxing atmosphere, ideal for browsing.

To make this store a success, we need your donations of high-quality used books and materials. Donations are tax deductible.

What Not To Donate

While we are delighted to get all kinds of books, both hard and soft cover, there are several types of books that we are unable to sell. Therefore, please do not bring us the following:

  • Encyclopedias

  • Reader's Digest Condensed Books

  • Travel Books (more than 3 yrs. old)

  • Business Texts

  • Consumer information (more than 3 yrs. old)

  • Tax information

  • Medical or nursing texts

  • Law books

  • Computer books (more than 3 yrs. old)

  • Textbooks (more than 3 yrs. old)

  • Phonograph records

  • Newspapers

  • Books that are damaged: coverless, spineless or missing pages; damp, mildewed, stained or smelly; and extensively highlighted or underlined.

If your books have been stored in the basement, garage, or barn, please check them for odor, dampness and insects before bringing them to the library.

We accept a limited number of magazine titles. Please call the library at 724-238-6451 before bringing any magazines to the library.
