Novel Art Party & Auction - 3rd Edition
Friday, May 1 from 6-8 pm

In addition to our silent auction and tasty hors d'oeuvre, this year the Novel Art committee is happy to announce that Bill Brown will be the emcee for the event. We're also pleased to announce that InSight featuring Gary Soltys on guitar and Debra Spatola, vocalist, will be performing!

Novel Art Party & Auction admission is $25/person and $40/couple and may be obtained ahead of time at the library or that day. Advanced reservations are encouraged. Contact the library with any questions at 724-238-6451 or stop by and ask at the front desk.

Join us for a fun evening, and take home a novel piece of art that will make the perfect conversation piece.

This year's event is raising funds to further enhance the digital learning solutions for preschool, students and adults at the Ligonier Valley Library.

Novel Art cards Imagine your favorite book being thrown into a landfill... the book you loved, the one that kept you company. Just tossed. Due to restrictions in recycling technology, this is the fate of many beloved editions. The Ligonier community is saving books from this fate and giving them a new life by creating art to support the Ligonier Valley Library.

  • All submitted creations will be on display April 23 through April 30 in the Library's Community Room (Mon-Thurs: 12-8pm; Fri & Sat: 11am-5pm).

  • Visitors may vote for their favorite submission.

  • A Student Auction and party will be held on Tuesday, April 28 from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

  • On May 1, all adult works will be auctioned during the Novel Art Auction & Party - Third Edition. Each submitting artist will be given 1 free admission to attend the party. Additional admissions may be purchased in advance at the library's front desk, or the night of the party at the registration table.

  • Any questions please call to the library at 724-238-6451 or email

  • All submissions become property of the Ligonier Valley Library. (But feel free to bid on your own project!)
