Dust off those walking shoes and get ready to join the Ligonier Valley Library for four special walks that will get everyone ready and excited for the start of the Let’s Book program this fall. First up…
A Wildflower Walk
Thursday, April 20 at 10:00 am at the parking lot just beyond the Linn Run Park Office
Rachael Mahony, Environmental Education Specialist for Forbes State Forest, will be our guide as we walk on Linn Run Road and possibly one of the trails in either Forbes State Forest or Linn Run State Park. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for being in the woods.
You do not have to belong to Let’s Book to participate. This program is free and open to the public. Let’s Book focuses on strengthening the mind and body. Most of our walks can involve uneven surfaces and terrain with mild to lightly challenging inclines.
Pre-registration is required!
Not sure that you can make the walk? Pre-register anyway as this will help us and Rachael to have a rough idea of how many people may attend.
Participants may either meet and caravan from the library at 9:30 or meet on site. We’ll meet Rachael at the parking lot just past the Linn Run Park Office and walk along Linn Run Road. Participants should make arrangements to drive themselves or to carpool with other attendees to the destination.
For more information or to register, stop by or call the Ligonier Valley Library at 724-238-6451.
