Directions to the Library

Ligonier is easily accessible from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and is located on Route 30 at the junction of Routes 30 and 711. The library is located on the Northwest corner of the Diamond (or center of town). Park in front of the library or around the Diamond area (free after 5:00pm) or in the municipal lot (24hr metered) behind the library on North Market Street (also Route 711 North).

From Greensburg and West

Follow U.S. Route 30 East through Greensburg (approx. 18 miles) and Latrobe. At the intersection of Routes 30 and 711, turn left at the traffic light - heading North up the hill into the center of town (The Diamond). At the stop sign, all traffic must go right. Circle the gazebo. The library is located on the Northwest corner of the Diamond, along West Main Street.

From Johnstown

Follow U.S. Route 56 East to Route 219 South. Take the exit for Route 30 West. Follow Route 30 West through the village of Jennerstown. Continue west 12 miles to intersection of Route 711.
At the light, turn right on 711 North and go up the hill to the center of town (The Diamond). At the stop sign, all traffic must go right. Circle the gazebo. The library is located on the Northwest corner of the Diamond, along West Main Street.

Alternate Route From Johnstown

Follow U.S. Route 271 South until it ends at the intersection of Route 711. Turn left on Route 711 heading South. Follow 711 South 3 miles to the center of town (The Diamond). At the stop sign, all traffic must go right. Turn to circle the gazebo, and library will be straight ahead.

From the Pittsburgh and Ohio Areas

Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike heading EAST. Exit the PA Turnpike at the Donegal exit # 9 , mile 91. Take 711 north to the intersection of U.S. Route 30 in Ligonier (13 miles). At the light, go straight across Route 30 up the hill to the center of Ligonier. At the stop sign, all traffic must go right. The library is located on the Northwest corner of the Diamond.

From the Baltimore/DC and Harrisburg Areas

Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike heading WEST. Exit the PA Turnpike at the Donegal exit # 9, mile 91. Take 711 north to the intersection of U.S. Route 30 in Ligonier (13 miles). At the light, go straight across Route 30 up the hill to the center of Ligonier. At the stop sign, all traffic must go right. The library is located on the Northwest corner of the Diamond.

From 7 Springs and Hidden Valley

Follow Route 31 West to the intersection of Route 711 North in Donegal. Take 711 north to the intersection of U.S. Route 30 in Ligonier (13 miles). At the light, go straight across Route 30 up the hill to the center of Ligonier. At the stop sign, all traffic must go right. The library is located on the Northwest corner of the Diamond.

Alternate route from the Pittsburgh area:

Travelers from the west can also follow the PA Turnpike to exit 7, mile 67. Then follow U.S. Route 30 East through Greensburg and Latrobe. At the intersection of Routes 30 and 711, turn left at the traffic light - heading North up the hill into the center of town (The Diamond). At the stop sign, all traffic must go right. Circle the gazebo. The library is located on the Northwest corner of the Diamond, along West Main Street.
