Join us Friday, May 5 from 6-8pm for a casual (jeans encouraged) evening! Taste samples from three breweries and one winery (bottles of water and sparkling water will also be available) and enjoy savory hors d’oeuvres and sweet treats.
More fun! Attendees will be able to participate in a 50/50 drawing and take home wine or beer in the Corks and Kegs Raffle. Tickets will be sold for both drawings throughout the event – Corks & Kegs is $10/cork and the 50/50 is 4/$5, 10/$10 and 25/$20.
There will also be other great prizes and surprises for everyone who attends the event!
Musical entertainment will be provided by Wayne Shaffer!

BOOKS & BREW : A TASTING EVENT WITH A LITERARY TWIST
Friday, May 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Join us for a casual evening of food, drinks, entertainment and books for the 21 and over crowd.* Cost is $25.00 per person. No tickets will be issues, reservations will be held at the door.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample craft beers and local wines accompanied by tasty hors d’oeuvres and sweet treats.

- Penn Brewery
- Four Seasons Brewery
- Country Winery and Vineyard
No one will leave empty-handed; each guest will receive a shopping bag filled with books. Some of the bags will also contain hidden treasures – assorted gifts and goodies!
Books & Brew supports the Library’s digital literacy and technology initiatives. Proceeds from past events were used to purchase eight internet computers, two AWE early literacy computers for the Children’s Department, two iPads and one AWE tablet (for pre-school age children). Proceeds also support the Pennsylvania Room’s ongoing digitization project to preserve rare historical photographs and documents.
*A “Kids Night In” will be held May 5 at the Ligonier YMCA for those needing child sitting services during the event. Advance reservations for this service are required. contact the YMCA to make reservations and for further information about this service.
